Knowing how to attract, nurture, and convert website visitors is required for owners to gain the most out of their website. Your website is a very important extension of your business. It can provide additional information about your company. You can sell your products and services online. You can help people find your business. For some businesses, the website is the only part of the business people see. I often get the same recurring questions from potential clients. First, “why are people not visiting my website?” And second, “why are visitors not buying from my website?”

Attract people to your website

When I ask what they are doing to attract visitors to their website, most business owners do not have an answer. They normally say things like, “My website is mobile friendly.”, “My website is SEO optimized.”, and “My website has great content.”. While all these things are important, they do not mean anything if you are not getting visitors. You must have a system in place to attract, nurture, and convert website visitors.

To attract visitors to your website, you need to know where they hang out online. One of the best ways to target potential clients is through social media. Don’t worry about making a sale at this phase, all you are trying to do is attract visitors. Provide helpful advice on social media sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. Always include a link to your website. You can also use social media as a paid advertising platform. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram all have advertising programs. Paid advertising costs more than posting and maintaining a social media presence but it takes up less of your time. You can also write guest posts on different blogs. Look for blogs that attract your target audience.

Nurture visitors by solving problems

Once you have a list of potential customers, you must nurture them. Open dialogues with them. Provide advice. Ask them what their greatest issue is. Then provide information to solve their problem. You want to build trust. Also, you want to understand these visitors.  You can record and publish webinars on how to solve problems. Facebook groups are also a great area for providing advice. Become known as the go-to person in your area of expertise.

Convert visitors to customers

Finally, you must convert interested parties into paying customers. The easiest way to do this is simple. Just ask for the sale. After attracting and nurturing visitors by providing valuable information, most visitors will be ready to accept your solution to their problem. Ensure that you provide a link to your sales page in every nurturing action. Build your sales page with one purpose in mind, to convert visitors. On your sales page ensure that you ask for the sale.

Having a website is only one part of the web solution for your business. Don’t forget to incorporate marketing to drive visitors to your website. Once they are on your website, ensure that you nurture these visitors and help convert them into paying customers. Follow the attract, nurture, and convert process to increase your sales.
